What book series involves a Senior high school class who are gradually being murdered?
Q. I used to read this book series consisting of at least 5 separate books based on a senior class who has a curse on them. The front of the books have a "yearbook" of all the students and as they are murdered their pictures are exed out in the following books. This was a favorite series of mine and I just can't remember what the titles were, or who the author was.

What is a good romance series that is for young adults, but is not super girlie?
Q. I've already read the Twilight series and The Sookie Stackhouse novels but I need something different. I've even read V.C. Andrews series of Petals in the wind. I won't something different and wierd. I really like vampires though but remember Im about to go into highschool. Sex is ok to!

What is the intertexuality between the Malory Towers Series and the Harry Potter Series?
Q. We're focusing on intertexuality in my English class. I had to find an example of two texts and the intertexuality between them. I choose The Malory Towers Series by Enid Blyton and The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. Can anyone help me?

A. There are questions in the blogosphere as to whether Rowling copied certain themes from Blyton. Specifically, the fact that classic archetypes are used to represent good and evil - especially in the challenges that the protagonist faces. Also, the compensatory revelations that come from the "wise" archetype [Dumbledore] is almost an exact duplication from the M.T. series. Additionally, several of the sidekicks [Ron and Hermione] match Blyton's characters in their temperament and attitude. Stylistically though, Blyton shows a greater talent for plot flow while Rowling is masterful in imaginative creativity.
